Key Transitions is a nonprofit teen treatment program committed to helping young people achieve lasting recovery from addiction, behavioral challenges, depression, anxiety, trauma, and related stru

ggles. The program focuses on building self-esteem, strengthening meaningful connections, and helping teens discover new interests and purpose. Services are designed for teens and young adults ages 13 to 30 and include a Teen Intensive Outpatient Program, Transitional Living, and a Mentoring Program tailored to individual needs.

Family involvement is a core part of the treatment approach. Through education, guidance, and ongoing support, families learn how to rebuild trust and strengthen relationships at home. Therapeutic services include individual counseling, group therapy, art and music therapy, surf therapy, and yoga—creating a well-rounded, engaging path toward healing.

Transitional Living for Teen Boys

Key Housing is a structured transitional living program for boys ages 14 to 17. This supportive home environment allows teens to receive consistent mentorship and therapeutic care while continuing to focus on academics, responsibility, and essential life skills. The goal is to help young men build stability, accountability, and confidence as they work through mental health and substance use challenges.

Mentoring Program for Teens and Young Adults

The Key Mentoring Program serves individuals ages 13 to 35. Mentors are carefully matched based on shared interests, personality, and lived experience. They meet with participants at home and in the community, offering practical guidance with school, career development, personal goals, and everyday challenges. This one-on-one support provides encouragement, accountability, and positive role modeling.

Residential Treatment Program

Key Healthcare's teen residential treatment program lasts 45–60 days in a structured, supportive setting designed to promote healing and growth. Residential treatment programs provide comprehensive care through evidence-based therapy, life skills training, and integrated dual diagnosis care.

Partial Hospitalization Program

Key Healthcare's partial hospitalization program runs 6 hours a day, 5 days a week in a therapeutic setting. This higher level of care offers teens consistent support as they work through mental health and substance use challenges, helping them build structure, resilience, and healthy coping skills.

Intensive Outpatient Program

Key Healthcare's intensive outpatient program meets for 3-5 days per week at 3 hours per day. Teens receive structured and intensive care through individual, group, and family therapy while maintaining responsibilities at home and school. This flexible level of care supports continued progress without full-time treatment.
