Polaris Teen Center is a residential mental health and substance abuse treatment program for adolescents, offering a safe, structured environment for teens struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, self-harm, eating disorders, and substance use. Polaris takes a whole-person, family-centered approach, recognizing that teen mental health challenges often stem from trauma, biological factors, and home environments. Family involvement is a core part of treatment, supporting long-term healing and stability.
Polaris delivers evidence-based teen therapy, including CBT, DBT, ACT, family systems therapy, post-induction therapy, and psychoeducational groups, alongside experiential therapies such as surf therapy, yoga, brain spotting, mindfulness, martial arts, somatic experiencing, art therapy, hiking, and swimming. Care is led by a highly credentialed clinical and medical team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatric specialists, and licensed therapists (LCSW, LMFT, AMFT).
Polaris operates two private residential homes in Tarzana, California—East Tarzana and West Tarzana—both offering gated privacy, shared bedrooms, spacious living areas, and upscale amenities. Residences feature on-site private chefs, outdoor spaces, pools, spas, terraces, and serene environments designed to help teens feel safe, supported, and engaged in recovery.
Polaris Teen Center treats a wide range of substance use and mental health conditions, including ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, Bipolar, Co-Occurring Disorders, Cocaine, Depression, Drug Addiction, Eating Disorders, Heroin, Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Opioids, Personality Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Prescription Drugs, Synthetic Drugs, Trauma.

Polaris Teen Center offers a full continuum of care, including Residential, Co-Occurring Mental Health. This allows clients to transition between levels of care while maintaining consistent clinical support throughout their recovery journey.
Polaris Teen Center uses a combination of evidence-based and holistic approaches, including Evidence-Based, Family Involvement. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s needs to support long-term recovery.
Clients at Polaris Teen Center participate in therapies such as 1-on-1 Counseling, Group Therapy, Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Adventure Therapy, Animal Therapy, Art Therapy, Equine Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Meditation & Mindfulness, Music Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodrama Therapy, Psychoeducation, Somatic Experiencing, Surf Therapy, Yoga. These therapies are designed to address both substance use and underlying mental health conditions.
Polaris Teen Center provides aftercare planning to help clients maintain progress after completing treatment. This may include Alumni Events & Get-Togethers, Family Follow-up Counseling, Online Aftercare, Outpatient Treatment, Support Meetings, supporting long-term recovery and relapse prevention.
Polaris Teen Center offers a range of amenities designed to support comfort and recovery, including Gourmet Dining, Hot Tub, Luxury, Outdoor Lounge, Pool. These features help create a supportive environment for healing and overall well-being.
Clients at Polaris Teen Center may participate in structured activities such as AA/NA Meetings, Yoga, Swimming, Hiking. These activities help build routine, improve mental well-being, and support long-term recovery.
Polaris Teen Center offers specialized support for individuals with unique needs, including Healthy Meals are provided, LGBTQ group. Programs are designed to provide privacy, flexibility, and individualized treatment planning.
